Released in 2022, Life After Football is the sixth studio album from Melbourne’s The Smith Street Band, following their ARIA #1 album Don’t Waste Your Anger. The album continues the band’s trademark mix of raucous punk energy, melodic songwriting and sharply observed lyrics, with frontman Wil Wagner delivering another collection of personal and socially conscious songs. It features the singles I Don't Wanna Do Nothing Forever and Everyone Is Lying To You For Money.
This coloured-vinyl edition was released on 27 January 2023 through Pool House Records and Remote Control Records. The eleven-track album moves between driving punk rock, reflective songwriting and the band's characteristically direct sense of humour, cementing The Smith Street Band's reputation as one of Australia's leading independent punk-rock acts.
