Released in 2025, From The Pyre is the second album from London five-piece The Last Dinner Party, following their acclaimed debut Prelude To Ecstasy. The album pushes their baroque, theatrical sound into darker territory, blending gothic rock, glam, folk and psychedelic influences with grand arrangements and vividly character-driven storytelling. The band describe the record's central “pyre” as a place of destruction and regeneration, with songs exploring love, violence, heartbreak, mythology and transformation.
The Inferno edition complements the album's fiery aesthetic with a striking coloured vinyl pressing. From the apocalyptic opening of Agnus Dei through the dramatic The Scythe and Inferno, the record balances ornate instrumentation with powerful vocals and a distinctly theatrical sense of drama. Produced by Markus Dravs, From The Pyre confirms The Last Dinner Party's position as one of the UK's most distinctive contemporary rock bands.
