Recorded in 1995 at Chicago's legendary Cabaret Metro, Live At The Cabaret Metro captures Silverchair during the explosive early period surrounding their debut album Frogstomp. The trio — Daniel Johns, Chris Joannou and Ben Gillies — deliver a raw, high-energy performance that showcases the grunge and alternative-rock intensity of their teenage years. The set includes live versions of several of the band's earliest and best-known songs, including Tomorrow, Pure Massacre and Israel's Son.
Originally issued as a promotional CD in 1996, the seven-track live recording has now received its first official vinyl release. This 180g 1LP black vinyl edition presents the complete seven-track set from the Cabaret Metro performance, offering a snapshot of Silverchair at the beginning of their rise from Newcastle teenagers to one of Australia's most successful alternative-rock bands.
