Released in 2011, The King Of Limbs is the eighth studio album from Oxford's Radiohead, following 2007's In Rainbows. Produced by longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich, the album sees the band moving further into electronic and experimental territory, building its eight tracks around looping rhythms, sampled textures, intricate percussion and atmospheric arrangements. Named after an ancient oak tree in Wiltshire's Savernake Forest, the record has a distinctly hypnotic and organic quality.
This 180g heavyweight vinyl reissue was released through XL Recordings and features the album's complete eight-track sequence, including Bloom, Lotus Flower, Codex and Separator. Originally developed through sampling and looping rather than conventional song structures, The King Of Limbs represents one of Radiohead's most adventurous releases, balancing electronic experimentation with the band's unmistakable sense of melody and atmosphere.
