Originally released in 1977, News Of The World is the sixth studio album from British rock legends Queen and one of the band's most enduring records. Following the elaborate production of their earlier work, the album takes a more direct and spontaneous approach, combining hard rock, arena rock, pop and theatrical songwriting. It opens with the iconic pairing of We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions, two songs that have become among the most recognisable anthems in popular music.
This 2026 Half-Speed Mastered edition is pressed on 180g black vinyl as a 1LP, with the lacquers cut at Abbey Road Studios. The eleven-track sequence also includes Sheer Heart Attack, Spread Your Wings, It's Late and My Melancholy Blues, capturing Queen at a pivotal point between their elaborate early-'70s sound and the stadium-rock dominance that followed.
