Originally released in 1985, Around The World In A Day is Prince's psychedelic follow-up to the era-defining Purple Rain. Rather than simply repeating the formula of its predecessor, Prince took a bold left turn, incorporating psychedelic pop, funk, soul and rock with colourful instrumentation and dreamlike production. The album was the second to be credited to Prince and The Revolution and remains one of the most adventurous records of his career.
Featuring the enduring singles Raspberry Beret, Paisley Park, Pop Life and America, the album balances bright, playful moments with more introspective and experimental material. This 40th Anniversary Edition was newly remastered in stereo by Bernie Grundman and pressed on limited-edition 140g Blue Marble vinyl.
