Originally released in 1981 following the death of Ian Curtis, Still is an essential Joy Division compilation that brings together previously unreleased studio recordings, non-album tracks and live performances. The collection fills in some of the gaps between Unknown Pleasures and Closer, while also documenting the band's final concert at Birmingham University. The live recording includes the only known Joy Division performance of Ceremony, later released as a single by New Order.
This 40th Anniversary Edition is pressed across two LPs on Crystal Clear vinyl, presenting 21 tracks that span the band's brief but hugely influential career. Alongside Dead Souls, Transmission, Disorder and Digital, the collection offers a fascinating snapshot of Joy Division's evolution from stark post-punk pioneers to one of the most influential bands of their generation.
