Released in 2026, There Near is the latest studio album from Dinosaur Jr., and their first collection of new material since 2021's Sweep It Into Space. Recorded at J Mascis' Bisquiteen Studio in Amherst, the album reunites the band's core trio of Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph for eleven tracks of fuzz-heavy guitars, loose vocals and the unmistakable rhythm section that has defined Dinosaur Jr. for decades.
Recorded in short, intense bursts over the course of a year, There Near balances the band's trademark guitar distortion with more melodic and reflective moments. From the driving Several Got Away and No Friends through to Blowin' Up, Put It Down and No One's Ready, the album finds Dinosaur Jr. sounding as loud, immediate and vital as ever. This limited edition is pressed on clear pink coloured vinyl.
