Released in 2007, Favourite Worst Nightmare is the second studio album from Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys, following their era-defining debut Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not. Produced by James Ford and Mike Crossey, the album sees the band pushing their indie-rock sound into heavier, more muscular territory, with sharper arrangements, restless rhythms and Alex Turner's increasingly assured songwriting.
This standard black vinyl pressing is housed in a gatefold sleeve and features the album's twelve-track sequence, including the singles Brianstorm, Fluorescent Adolescent and Teddy Picker. Released through Domino Records, Favourite Worst Nightmare captures Arctic Monkeys at a pivotal point in their development, combining the immediacy of their debut with a darker, more expansive sound that helped establish them as one of Britain's defining alternative rock bands.
