Originally released in 1975, The Album Of The Soundtrack Of The Trailer Of The Film Of Monty Python And The Holy Grail is the first film soundtrack album from Monty Python. Rather than being a conventional soundtrack, it combines scenes and dialogue from Monty Python And The Holy Grail with newly recorded comedy sketches and musical material, including the famous spoof screening at the Classic Silbury Hill Theatre. The album also features the Marilyn Monroe sketch, co-written by Graham Chapman and Douglas Adams.
This 50th Anniversary Gold Nugget edition was released in 2025 on limited coloured vinyl, celebrating half a century of one of the most inventive and irreverent comedy soundtracks ever made.
