Released in 2015, Currents is the third studio album from Australian psychedelic project Tame Impala, led by Kevin Parker. Written, performed, recorded and produced almost entirely by Parker, the album marked a dramatic evolution from the guitar-heavy psychedelia of Innerspeaker and Lonerism, embracing synthesizers, electronic production, disco grooves and deeply introspective songwriting. The album explores personal transformation, relationships and the uneasy process of becoming someone new.
This 2LP black vinyl edition is housed in a gatefold sleeve and features the complete 13-track sequence, including the singles Let It Happen, Eventually, The Less I Know The Better and Cause I'm A Man. Released on 17 July 2015 through Modular Recordings and Interscope Records, Currents became a landmark of modern psychedelic pop, cementing Kevin Parker's reputation as one of contemporary music's most inventive producers.
