Originally released in 2019, Sundowning is the debut studio album from British alternative metal band Sleep Token. Built around the mysterious masked identity of Vessel, the album blends atmospheric electronics, progressive metal, post-rock and soulful melodies into a deeply immersive listening experience. The record was originally unveiled gradually through a series of singles, with the changing seasons reflected in its carefully sequenced 12-track structure.
From the atmospheric opening of The Night Does Not Belong To God and the huge, genre-bending The Offering through to Gods, Sugar and the emotional closer Blood Sport, Sundowning established the distinctive sound that would make Sleep Token one of modern metal's most intriguing acts. This edition is pressed across two LPs.
