MF DOOM - Born Like This (2LP)

Released in 2009, Born Like This is the final solo studio album from MF DOOM, released under the name DOOM. Inspired by Charles Bukowski's poem Dinosauria, We, the album finds DOOM at his darkest and most uncompromising, combining dense wordplay, sinister samples and off-kilter production into a stark portrait of the masked rapper's underground world. Production comes from DOOM himself alongside J Dilla, Madlib and Jake One, giving the record a distinctive blend of dusty soul, experimental hip hop and stripped-back beats.

Featuring collaborations with Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Empress Stahhr and others, Born Like This is packed with the intricate rhymes, surreal imagery and dark humour that made DOOM one of hip hop's most revered figures.
