Released in 2026, Goodbye (If You Call That Gone) is the debut studio album from Australian singer-songwriter MAY-A. The album marks a confident evolution from the bedroom indie-pop of her earlier work, embracing a fuller, guitar-driven sound while retaining the emotional directness and intimacy that have defined her songwriting. Across the record, MAY-A moves through rage, grief, heartbreak and acceptance, creating a deeply personal portrait of growing into herself and taking control of her own story.
Written largely with her partner and guitarist Chloe Dadd, the album deliberately avoids being tied to a single genre, shifting between alternative rock, indie pop and more stripped-back singer-songwriter moments. From Catching Up 2 U and Claws to Last Man On Earth, Tide and On The Way Down, Goodbye (If You Call That Gone) captures MAY-A at her most open, raw and self-assured.
