Released in 2025, Silver Bleeds The Black Sun... is the twelfth studio album from AFI and one of the band's most dramatic stylistic shifts. Drawing heavily from late-'70s and early-'80s death rock, gothic rock and post-punk, the album moves into darker, atmospheric territory while retaining the emotional intensity that has defined AFI throughout their career. Influences from bands such as Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus and The Sisters of Mercy are woven through brooding guitars, driving rhythms and Davey Havok's theatrical vocals.
The Pink/Magenta edition is a limited Run For Cover Records pressing, with 1,000 copies produced. Across ten tracks, the album balances gothic atmosphere with moments of urgency and melody, from Behind The Clock and Holy Visions through to the closing NOONEUNDERGROUND.
